Marves -Jakarta, November 12, 2022- The G20 Summit is only a few days away. The government continues to make all preparations for the successful organization of the G20 Summit which will take place on November 15-16, 2022.

As many as 17 heads of state have confirmed their presence while thousands of participants will attend this grand event in person. The presence of these thousands of participants definitely requires intensive mobilization arrangement.

The Indonesian government has prepared 30 medium-size Red and White Electric Buses (BLMP) for smooth mobility of the G20 delegates since their arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar to meeting locations at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC).

Head of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Land Transportation Pitra Setiawan said that the 30 buses are standby in Bali before the G20 Summit starts.

"Of the 30 buses, nine units are already in Bali, 10 units are on their way, and one more unit will be completed this weekend. These buses cannot be sent all at once because production is carried out in stages," he told the G20 Media and Communications Team via telephone, Thursday, Nov. 12.

All of these buses are domestically manufactured with a local content requirement level (TKDN) of 76.98 percent. BLMP is a collaborative development of state-owned electric vehicles and a consortium of higher education institutions in Indonesia such as Airlangga University, Gadjah Mada University, and the Indonesian Art Institute Denpasar and the Surabaya Institute of Technology.

"The bus has undergone a roadworthiness test at the Roadworthiness Testing and Motorized Vehicle Certification Center (BPLJSKB) in Bekasi, West Java. All vehicles of any type are tested for its roadworthiness there," said Pitra.

Apart from those of the Ministry of Transportation, he continued, there are 11 medium and large- size electric buses from a number of companies deployed to support the success of the G20 Presidency event. Thus, the total electric buses available are 41 units.

On November 1, these electric buses began trials by riding along the route from Ngurah Rai Airport to Nusa Dua. There are 60 drivers who will be divided into two working hours with 30 people in each group. The buses are scheduled to start to operate on November 11-17, 2022 starting at 6.00 - 22.00 local time.

To facilitate mobilization in the ITDC Nusa Dua Bali area, his party also provides free electric motorcycle taxi service. He explained, the SPKLU provided has ultrafast charging and fast charging power. SPKLU ultrafast charging is able to charge a car battery in 15-30 minutes from a 0 percent position.

"There are two Ultra-Fast Charging SPKLU locations in Central Park ITDC and Kempinski which can accommodate 636 delegate vehicles. The two locations are supported by 74 officers, 42 of them at the ITDC SPKLU and 32 others at the Kempinski SPKLU," he said at a #G20updates press conference a few days ago.
